Guidelines for Online Learning
We have drawn up guidelines for students, parents and teachers when undertaking school lessons online/remotely.
They are available here: Guidelines for Online Learning
Online Learning Resources
The school uses a lot of online resources to help students learn at home. Technology and digital resources are another tool to enhance and deepen the learning experience. An online platform is a space that is dedicated to the learning and teaching experience.
Our main learning system/platform is Microsoft 365.
This is a fantastic system, that gives every single students access to the entire Microsoft suite/collection of apps and programmes including Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint which can all be used online or downloaded to a computer. Please note that all systems are accessible using a mobile phone and a range of other devices. A laptop/PCis not required. However, when completing work, it is often easier to use a laptop or PC.
Students will find a lot of videos to help their online experience at office.com
Accessing your Office.com Account
Your Password & Logging In:
All students and teachers at Ballinrobe Community School have an Office account. If you have lost or forgotten your email address or you password, please contact Ms King at firstname.lastname@example.org to have your account reset.
For first log in/after the password has been reset, students will be given a temporary password. The student will asked to put in a new password that is known only to them. They will be asked to put this in twice to make sure the system knows it properly. If they are logging in for the first time/resetting, please have students think about their password. It should have a capital letter, a lower case letter, a number and a symbol.
Please keep the password safe and private. The school will never see this private password so it will have to be completely reset if it is lost.
Please click the link below for a step by step guide to logging in, either for the first time or if your password has been reset:
