Well done to Ciara Hughes, Aoife Gibbons, Cian O’Connell and Damian Tomaszewicz for taking first place at the BOI Money Smarts Challenge regional finals earlier this year. The team scored 108 points on the day – 9 clear of their closest rival.
The national finals were due to be held at a later date but have now been cancelled entirely.
Instead, each student will be rewarded for their achievement by way of a BOI goodie bag to the value of €200!
We would like to say a big well done to Aoife, Cian, Damian and Ciara for representing the school with distinction and to Ms. L. Dwyer for co-ordinating the event.

To all staff, Parents/Guardians, and students,

On behalf of the student body and class of 2020, we would like to show our gratitude to everyone who has been with us over the last 6 years. We hate to have to thank you in this way and not be able to show our gratitude in person.

It is with regret that we end our time in BCS away from our friends and teachers. As we say our virtual goodbyes, we feel it is appropriate to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has been with us on our journey over the past 6 years.

To all our teachers, thank you for all your hard work. Thank you for your relentless enthusiasm, support, and encouragement, especially during these past few weeks. We know it must not be easy, as you must take care of your own families on top of trying to help us in the best ways you could. The work you have put in with us over the last 6 years has never gone unnoticed and we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for being a huge part in our school journeys, through the good times and the bad times and making us the people we are now.

To our tutors, Mr. Coen, Ms. Murphy, Mr. Mortimer, Ms. Reddin, Ms. Farragher and our year head Mr. Conlon. We know it certainly was not easy to keep us in check, but you stuck by and believed in us and were always there for us. A special thank you to Mr. Conlon. From managing our basketball teams along with Ms. Burke to always having time for anyone who came knocking on his door, the kindness and respect he shows to all is commendable. He really has a heart of gold and for that we are eternally grateful.

Huge thank you to all teachers who took their time to train teams in football, soccer and basketball and Andy for driving us to away matches. To our football trainers, Mr. Gavin, Ms. Costello, Ms.Quinn and Mr. Nolan, you gave us memories to last a lifetime. Thank you for the laughter and friendship, and for your commitment and dedication on and off the pitch.

To Ms. Barry, Ms. Nestor and Mr. Conlon who dedicated their time to us over the past few years in student council. They listened to our ideas and gave a voice to the student body.

Also, a huge thank you to Mr. Culkeen; he always welcomed our committee into his office with an open mind to new ideas. Both he and Ms. Devaney have the student's best interests at heart and always look for feedback to improve and develop the comfort and wellbeing of the school environment.

Thank you to Andy and Fintan, forever picking up after the students, to the office staff - Maria, Deirdre, Aisling and Mary, our canteen staff - Bernie, Catherine and Kathleen, and our cleaning staff who all work tremendously hard behind the scenes, thank you for everything you do to make school a better place.

As we move onto the next chapter in our lives, we hope that we have done you all proud and have left a memory with you that will never be forgotten. There is certainly a massive hole left in our hearts. We hope this is not goodbye and we meet again someday in the non-virtual world.
Thank you for everything. We wish you and your families all the best in the future.

Yours sincerely,
Leaving Cert Class of 2020.
